Gir National Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife species. Tourists also witness the park’s diverse flora, which includes more than 300 species of plants, trees, shrubs, and medicinal herbs. The park also provides opportunities for nature walks, bird watching, and safari tours.
We will assemble at Gir Birding Lodge at 7.45 am every Thursday for orientation with tea and biscuits. Spend the morning birding for 2.5 hours along the national park boundary and the mango orchard. Highlights here include woodpeckers, owls, forest birds, and many mammals such as mongooses, langurs, jackals, etc.
